5/3/2018, · I have a small bump high up on my ,forehead, that is a hot spot in most ,helmets, I've worn. You can either press down on the EPS with a spoon or the like, to form more room, which I've done befoe. Or you can do what I've done on the last few - take some 80 grit and sand the area until it fits OK.
On full-face helmets, press on the chin piece. The helmet or face shield should not touch your nose or chin. If it does, it will surely do so at speed from wind pressure. With the helmet still on and the straps securely fastened, move it from side to side and up and down with your hands. If it fits right, your skin should move as the helmet is moved.
Tightness is OK, but if you feel like you need to get the helmet off to stop the pain, that’s not the helmet for you. Discomfort is most common in two places: directly at the forehead, or just above the temples. If you have a big red line across your forehead after removing the helmet, try something else. That helmet is not long-oval enough.
